Last week I bought beautiful tulips from Ralph’s.
Aren’t they gorgeous? They brightened up my apartment and made everything smell deliciously like spring.
Sadly for the tulips, I’m a confirmed plant killer from way back, so even though I followed the included watering instructions to the letter, now, a WEEK later, they look like this:
I suck.
This bus blew through a blinking red light, across a crosswalk next to a PARK where several Little League games were underway. Fuck you, L.A. Metro.
So far the past couple of weeks have been deeralicious at work. I’ve seen at least one every work day for the past two weeks, including these two ladies I caught chilling out last Wednesday.
Last night Jane and I went to another Wine and Canvas class at Tiato. I’ve gotta say, I like Tiato well enough–it’s big, makes decent drinks, has plenty of parking–but damn, the lighting SUCKS. I spent waaaay too much time trying to get my green grass as electric and vibrant as the instructor’s, and it turned out it looked just fine under better lighting, but the dim lighting just made it look muddy. Also, sitting on the instructor’s not-painting-hand side means you end up looking at her back most of the night. I’m mostly happy with the painting, though.
