A work in progress
As you may or may not be able to tell, I’m still working on the site. I’ve found my general layout, but I’m still working on the colors and graphics, so please bear* with me. Man, I hate png files!
In other news, there’s only one more sleep before my sis and bro-in-law arrive–yay! So glad I’m getting an extra day with them. Thank you, forecasted New England snowstorm, for forcing them to move their flight up a day.
And since it’s been awhile since I posted a photo, here’s my Zeva mid-yawn. *g*
*I totally just googled this to make sure I was using the correct “bear/bare”. Fortunately I was right the first time. 😀

What do you do with your free time?
It’s Saturday, the second day in my three day weekend. Yesterday was spent doing laundry, dishes, and a couple of other chores. I didn’t come anywhere near finishing said chores, but that’s not how I want to spend my Saturday–there’s only so much time I can spend alone in my apartment with my two cats before I feel my sanity slipping, and there’s always tomorrow to finish the rest.
Unfortunately, most of my hobbies are living room hobbies–knitting, crochet, dvds, jigsaw puzzles, reading, etc. Of course, one of my favorite hobbies is shopping, but as much as I’d love to spend the day doing that, I’m still lucid enough to recognize that I don’t need more stuff right now. (Unless you count curtains, slipcovers, new couch, paint–NO! No shopping!)
So, what do you do with your time off? What new hobbies should I explore to get myself out of the house?
(I am totally cross-posting this, since I’m pretty sure I’m the only person who reads this particular blog.)

New year, new website!
Ok, it’s still a work in progress, but, check it out! New website! So far it only contains imported posts from my knitting blog, which I’ll be moving here. I might move some of my other blogs here too, and just separate them with category tags. So far I’m undecided–I’m totally winging it right now. But the old polgara.net was just too ancient and hadn’t been updated since election day 2008 (admittedly a great day), so, voila! New site in 30 minutes or less!

Man, this site needs work!
Neglect, neglect, yadda yadda.
I pulled my blog up to look at some of the widgets for another site I’ll be working on soon, and realized how very out of date this thing is, and not just the posts. For one thing, one of my favorite yarn stores closed last summer, so I have to remove that link. My bio needs an upgrade, and honestly, this whole site needs a facelift.
Sadly, my life these days is way to the busy. Work is swamped, personal time is usually spent on my current freelance project, and any other time leftover I’d rather spend as far away from my laptop as possible. (Seriously, I finished four books last weekend, three of which I’d also started last weekend.)
But soon, I promise, my dear two or three readers. Of course, I also need to upgrade JaneEspenson.com…. *sigh*
Just not enough time, dammit.
And in knitting news, I’ve been scrambling away at scarves, scarves and more scarves–and haven’t taken a pic of a single one, dammit. I suck. Someday that’ll change. I hope.

Isn’t she beautiful? I went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park two weeks ago with my sister and b-i-l, and this lioness was just hanging out on a crate right next to the observation window of the lion hangout. What a ham!
